FEES
Weekly music lesson fees are due by pre-authorized payment on the first day of each month. Fees are payable by Electronic Fund Transfer, Credit Card or by Post Dated Cheques. Cash or Debit clients are required to provide a pre-authorized Credit Card which will be processed if payment has not been received by the 7th of the month. Accounts in arrears after the 8th of the month will incur a $10 service charge. Any payments returned “NSF” will incur a $25 service charge. There is an annual registration fee of $20.00 per family. A 5% music lesson fee discount is offered to families registering two or more students. Fees may be subject to change without notice.
COMMITMENT
If you wish to discontinue your lessons simply advise the front desk one week prior to the end of the month. There are no partial refunds or credit for lessons that are discontinued during the current month.
STUDENT ABSENCES
A student may qualify for a rescheduled private lesson if an absence is due to illness, and the school receptionist receives notice by 12:00 noon on the day of the lesson or 9:00 AM on Saturdays. If the student is absent for any other reason a minimum of 48 hours advance notice is required to qualify for a rescheduled lesson.
RESCHEDULING OF LESSONS
To ensure a consistent schedule for our teachers, we must limit rescheduled lessons to two per student per year. After three attempts to reschedule, missed lessons may be forfeited. Lessons missed without notice will not be rescheduled. Missed lessons may not be applied to your next month’s payment.
The teacher providing the lesson may or may not be the student’s regular teacher. The school may provide an alternative mutually convenient rescheduled lesson time, but is under no obligation to do so.
TEACHER ABSENCES
The school strives to have your instructor present at every scheduled lesson. However, we reserve the right to use an alternative instructor if necessary, without notice. In this way we can help to ensure the student’s regular progress.
STATUTORY HOLIDAYS
Our monthly fee is based on the average annual lessons provided in the year. The school has elected a policy of convenient equal monthly billing, regardless of the weekday selected, the skill level of the student, the instrument selected or the instructor who provides the instruction. For Monday students, please note there are no make-up lessons or credits for statutory holidays. Overall these various factors tend to balance out over time.
